Join our practical, interactive, face-to-face workshop to build confidence and prepare for breastfeeding your baby. This comprehensive session will provide you with essential knowledge, hands-on techniques and a supportive environment to discuss hopes and challenges. Designed for mothers and their partner/supporter, this workshop will help you feel empowered and supported as you prepare to begin for your breastfeeding journey.

Preparing for breastfeeding;

  • How your body and baby naturally prepare

Milk production

  • Understanding how your milk supply works

Hand expression and colostrum harvesting

  • Practical techniques to get started

Signs of effective feeding

  • Recognising if your baby is feeding well and getting enough milk

Comfortable breastfeeding

  • Practical tips for positioning and attachment

Skin to skin contact

  • The importance of the 9 stages of skin to skin
  • The role of skin-to-skin in bonding and overcoming early challenges

Restful feeding and safe sleep

  • Practical advice for feeding whilst maintaining rest
  • Exploring how to rest in the early stages of breastfeeding

  • £80, includes attendance for mother and partner/supporter

Group Size:

Limited to 4 couples/families for a personalised experience

Booking

Payment is taken at time of booking.

Cancellations

Tongue Tie North West reserves the right to charge the full fee in cases of non-attendance to booked appointments. Cancellations mean that other families who could have had this slot have to wait longer. If you cancel your appointment within 24 hours of the booked time, no refunds will be given and if you haven’t already paid you will be invoiced the full cost of the consultation, payable within 7 days. In the unlikely event of you needing to cancel more than 24 hours before your appointment time, a £25 admin charge will be charged, and the remaining balance refunded to you.
