Infant Feeding Support

At Tongue-Tie Northwest we are both qualified health professionals, fully trained IBCLC's and tongue-tie practitioners. An IBCLC has the highest standard of infant feeding support training and is known as the gold standard for feeding support.

Initial consultations with us last around 1 hour and involve taking a full history, assessment of feeding and oral anatomy and function examination.

We work with you to provide support with any feeding issues and come up with an individualised feeding plan.

Tongue-Tie Division

We can usually offer to perform the procedure for tongue-tie division (frenulotomy) on the day of your assessment appointment, although there is no obligation to proceed with this if you are not sure. We will discuss treatment options with you once we have completed an assessment of infant feeding (breast or bottle) and anatomy and function of baby’s tongue.

Tongue-Tie Northwest are committed to providing a fully rounded support package which includes follow-up appointments so that you and your baby are receiving the best care.

We will see babies for tongue-tie division up to 12 months of age.

Rounded Support Package

Tongue-Tie Northwest provide comprehensive packages of care to help you achieve your feeding goals. These include our basic care package which includes a thirty-minute follow up appointment as standard, or our enhanced package for those who prefer ongoing feeding support.
